When travelling overseas I want to use the functionality of my iPhone 3GS, but not use it as a mobile phone. For example taking pictures with location data, using WiFi for maps and making Skype calls. However data charges are around $30 a megabyte and one mistake can cost hundreds of dollars. I share what I do.
