Speedometer with Taxi Fare Estimate and Hourly Rate
To use
- Click Start and the speedometer will start showing your speed in km/h
and the meters will start accumulating the estimated taxi fare and show the hourly rate.
NOTES:
- The speedometer reading is updated as the GPS location is updated which is around
1-2 seconds.
- The meters are updated when the speedometer is updated.
- The taxi fare estimator uses Fare Structure 1: Rates based on 'time or distance' charging.
- The time or distance charging is from the 1st October 2023 as stated on the
safetransport.vic.gov.au website.
- Should a spurious GPS reading occur the speedometer will retain previous speed.
- When stationary sometimes the speed will be non-zero. This because the GPS reading is changing.
