NEW Victoria - COVID-19 Cases By Postcode |
||
Update: 4 Oct 2021 - The Victorian government will soon only publish tier 1 sites and no longer publish tier 2 sites. I'd already been alerted by others of multiple sites the government was already not publishing. It is unfortunate and frustrating the Victorian government isn't providing sufficient information to help Victorians look after their own health interests. The number of exposure locations published by the Victorian government can be overwhelming and many of the locations aren't relevant to us personally. For that reason I've developed this page to show the public exposure sites for just the postcodes of interest. Each person can now customise the list of postcodes to meet their needs or quickly select the nearest 10 postcodes. There is no reason the Victorian government couldn't include a tool like this on their to access relevant information to each of us. |

Overview of Victoria Exposure Sites I regularly check the Victorian government's public exposure list but lately I'm finding it too time consuming. The problem then is I stop checking the information and I don't think that is wise. I decided to create this page so that I and others could limit the public exposure site to just the postcodes I'm interested in. By doing this I have much less information to check and I'm more likely to check the exposure sites each day. The public exposure sites at listed with the latest date first. In addition there's an option to select whether or not you'd like to see public transport exposure sites. These don't have a postcode but I feel if you're using public transport it's good to know if there's been any positive cases using the public transport you may be using. Using Victoria Exposure Sites Enter up to 10 postcodes you are interest in monitoring. The select whether or not you'd also like to see public transport results. When finished click Submit. Each day you can open the page and your options are remembered. Just click Submit to see the latest information. Note that if you clear your browsing history this information is also cleared. Quick fill 10 nearest postcodes The quick fill 10 nearest postcodes options fills in the postcode fields with the 10 nearest postcodes based on your current location. The quick fill option is very handy but it should be remembered a postcode may cover many suburbs and the centre of the postcode is then the centre of all the postcodes, which may mean a nearby postcode appears to be further away. For example, Eltham is an adjoining suburb to where I live which I'd like included, but isn't included as the centre of the postcode places it further away. In this case I'll replace the last postcode with the postcode I'd really like.
